Can't get to website... any ideas?

I get "server not found" in both IE and FF... ping doesn't resolve (no IP returned). Other "24" sites work (news24.com, wheels24.co.za, property24.com). I tried the usual stuff (flushdns, looking at whether I had "hosts" entries, restarting ADSL modem, restarting computer).

Been like this for a few weeks, and once in a while fin24 has a story I might want to read (like about koeberg), so I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Well, I might not be able to help you with the problem, but here is the Koeberg story:

Johannesburg - Nuclear power station Koeberg was operating at 90% capacity and would be fully operational by Monday, Eskom said.

"It is generating about 90% of its output... The staff at Koeberg will continue monitoring the situation and increase capacity to 100% by tomorrow (Monday)," said company spokesperson Fanie Zulu.

Supply interruptions stopped on Friday evening and electricity demand was met without incident on Saturday and Sunday.

Power cuts ended before the power station was returned to full service because electricity was generated from other sources, like gas turbines.

Industrial users also agreed to cut down on their power use, allowing electricity to be diverted for domestic use, Zulu said.

"Consumers in the Western Cape responded positively to the call to save electricity. We want to encourage them to use available resources in a sparing way," he added.

The province has been plagued by power outages recently caused by repair and maintenance work to both of Koeberg's generating units.

heh - yeah - I know it works... I am able to get there from a remote server... just can't work out what is wrong with my local PC... strange. Maybe my Telkom DNS server stuff is wrong...
