fck americans for not knowing how to use a credit card thus dragging us down with them
don't blame everything on the americans for the money crisis. this christmas i was in east gate mall in joburg and it was down right scary the amount of credit cards i saw being handed over the counter to pay for christmas presents. i have two and they both are paid off but i did not touch the things during the holidays but i saw plenty of south africans saying charge all the way to the til, so it is just not americans it is everyone all over.
even though i have two and they are both thankfully paid off i still think credit cards are evil...lol. there is not a day that goes by that i do not get a call from the bank saying, "can we raise your limit?" to which i am smart enough (now) to say "no, i like my limit where it is, thank you."
banks in every country pressure people to live above their means, they always have and they always will. also there is this thing in every country about keeping up with the "jones'" in other words people are mostly judged by their material wealth and not their emotional wealth, the one with the most toys wins. it is called greed and i'm sorry but america is not the only country that has a monopoly on that frame of mind, it is all over everywhere.
can you say gravy-train here in south africa.
