O.K. Just been capped today (again!) and before switching over to my other account I did a speed-test (via TELKOM's speed-test) and was getting consistant 90kb/s (obviously only local) then I changed over to my other account and ran the speed-test again, this time consistant 55kb/s. My assumption, there must be some limiting being done via software somewhere along the line!

Are you referring to 90 kiloBITS per second. 90 kilobits per second for local is slow as local is uncapped...

There are 2 readings when the test is done, one in kilobits and one in kilobytes. The samller one is the one to look at. I ave at abou 50kb/s on my line. I seriously douby that u are getting 90KB/s as your line is limited. the files was prob cached the first time. I think the limit is done at the DSLAM, but don't quote on that;)

According to Telkom's speed test:

Your line speed is approximately 482.7 Kbps or 59.2 kBytes/sec

The big 'B' means Bytes and the little 'b' means bits.
