OH MY FSCKING GOD!

Am I just being partisan or did Raath come accross as a total idiot?

He dodged questions in a manner that would put Neo in the lobby scene to shame.

If these are the type of people who manage the MW service I've just discovered half the problem ...

My god folks, if you want to learn how to dodge questions, learn from the master ... Marcel Raath.

Good one Roelf. You came accross perfectly and lucidly while Raath came accross like a hunted rabbit!

As we say in gaming: OWNED!

[}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)] <- Quadruple horns

PS: Not using the service for what is was intended? BWAHAHAHA ... *deep belly rumbling laugh*

That interview was classic...I can't believe that Marcel is still trying that "2% of users" excuse...what a loser. And the DJ seriously p'wned him at the end...
As soon as there's a database of MyWi usernames that can be used as a reference for how many ppl are getting screwed, Sentech will have absolutely no leg to stand on...

Nice one TheRodent!

Sentech lost this one!

I loved the bit where you mentioned that the unhappy users were stupid to sign without guarantees - and the DJ tying onto it at the end. It made Sentech sound like the exploiters of the gullible masses :)

Let's hope this is the start for a new way of marketing Internet Access in the contended market: With clear specs of what you can expect!

OMG!!! I can't believe they pulled the old "if you use it as intended" excuse. Perhaps it's intended to be used as a paperweight?

Well done man. Nice way to keep the pressure up. Obviously the message is getting out into the mainstream now. Even if we can't do anything about getting this service fixed, we can at least warn the rest of the country off.

All this reminds me of a Hatebreed song, so much that I decided to post the lyrics[:)]

I Will Be Heard

Now is the time for me to rise to my feet
Wipe your spit from my face
Wipe these tears from my eyes

I've got to take my life back
One chance to make it right
I've gotta have my voice be heard
And bring meaning to this life
Cause I've trusted for nothing
I've been led astray
I've been tried and tested
But I won't accept defeat
Now I've done things I regret
And its time to reverse the rules
I just want to make good on all the promises that I have made

I will be
I will be heard
I will be heard

Through the worst we prevail
So our voices will be heard
Through the worst we prevail
So our voices will be heard

Now is the time...

I've got to take my life back...

I will be
I will be heard
I will be heard

I look forward to having a drink on the day you're fired, and hopefully you, Winston and the others who cant run an internet company in 2004 without messing it up, can console each other after being fired, in some dark alleyway, in an orgiastic display of retarded humping."

Oh my. Marcel IS a dork.

If Sentech had advertised MyWireless 56k *Guaranteed* how many of us would have signed up?
I wouldn't have. I went Sentech after being disappointed with ADSL after reaching the cap on a number of occasions and having my speed drastically reduced. Everything about Sentech, INCLUDING the posts by ProASM seemed to point toward a happy yet slower braodband solution at 128Kbps. This interview is the first that I have heard that I should not expect anything better than what I am getting. If that was explained properly, I would not have signed up and would have rather resumed my ISDN dialup as and when needed.
All we need now is for one unhappy customer to be released from this contract and this reality is not far off now.

Well done Rodent, Marcel is your Biatch!

Very interesting. Marcel ducks and dives but, even then, misses the Olympic-length pool. The fact is, it took 27 minutes to download the 3.41Mb MP3 file (can someone tell me what that works out to?) while doing nothing more than surfing local Websites. The upshot of the interview is that there are no guarantees and most customers are happy, or at least haven't complained. Well then, I'll register a complaint tomorrow. Let's see if it can climb to 10% or more.

I'm not impressed with Sentech's inability or unwillingness to address the issues - to spell out its problems, to says what it is doing to address these, says when these may be fixed and to apologise to clients. None of these basic elements of communications have happened. In the meantime, they blame problems on some users (whatever happened to the clause on unacceptable use?) and the rollout of new stations.

It leads to wild conjecture. Could it be that the technology itself sucks, that Sentech is technologically incapable, that they're rolling out a service on a shoestring and using us suckers to fund growth and expansion of base stations and bandwith (the latter coming second in the list of priorities), that, that, that?

Or could it be a problem with the scalability of the technology? I'm just conjecturing, but there seems to be a veil of secrecy drawn over the whole thing. Could it be that the communicators and marketers are the fall guys (as they usually are) for the failure of the technologists to deliver? I now think this is the way that it is.

As it is, Chris Gibbons said he wouldn't sign up for the service. Every day wasted in delivering, costs millions on the bottom line for Sentech from the negative publicity and the wasted advertising.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I have an inferiority complex. But it's only a little one.

Hehe, well, that was really well done.

One point that comes up which I liked hearing talk about is service garuntee.
Most companies, any line , usually dont garuntee anything. No company is willing to take the fall for something going wrong in their bussiness. But companies can eassily charge each other for loss of service. It's kind of using those fines to make some profit. 'Yeah, we just made proffit off random company for causing us not to be able to give service to our users'

In my opinion, users, should be alowed to fine companies for loss of service. If youre paying for something, and it goes down, they should pay for that time. Because it's your money they are spending.

But our wonderfull capitalist based world just wouldnt allow a user to have a say. And it's the people's fault, probably not the companies. No one ever stands up and says they wont take it, and that's why everyone get's away with what they want. And that's what makes rodent, and everyone else that takes a stance such great people. In a sense, the world needs a revolution where people stop taking sht from anyone that gives it.

Twisted Siter - Were not gonna take it

(IMHO)
