They say SA is going to run out of water in the near future so why don't they build a couple of Desalination plants near the coast?

We can waste the seas water can we after all there is soooo much of it.

Desalination remains energy intensive! Like i said, for it to work you would also have to ensure losses e.g. due to evaporation is reduced drastically too.. else it increases the losses and remember we already have an energy issue

They could use solar power remember it gets very hot up the West Coast.

Bah, cape town, no one would even notice, its all part of our ultimate plan here in gauteng...pretty soon, beach front property right outside centurion

One very small flaw.

Water can not be "used up" so to speak. All the water in the world has been year for milion and milions of years. The water you drink exits you body again and goes through natural processes (Recycled) to be used again.

You can drink all the wtaer in the world it will just make it's way out again and then used again. So the circle continues.
