Stop Mybb, if the job is done correctly and if the customer asked for a quotation before the installation was carried out then it's 100% the customers own problem.

Another thing, I have seen installers charge 550 per hour plus a 650 callout fee. Please stop saying there is fault in charging 550 per hour plus a callout fee. I hate it when I have to keep telling my customers that charging 20% markup on just the equipment alone doesn't cover my experience/fuel in sorting the problem out.

We honestly charge an estimate of time spent hell if it's less I'll always pay the difference back if it takes shorter time to do it.

I run an installation company myself and it's become more and more frustrating. These fly by nites pay staff at Pep and others to give customers contacts of their preferred installers. They typically bribe them with R100 or so. We'd report the practice, they'll stop for a few weeks then revert to their ways.

Eish!!!

What a bugger up.

I went to do a IT job in Newlands about a month ago. Was a quick job, basically powered off the TV box and powered it on and it worked again - then I just checked everything was seated nicely and quick 1 hour charge.
I stated clearly in the Whatsapp my rate for the hour.

2 hours later I get the amount but with an added 0 but I didn't take notice as I was busy.

Life carries on, a week later I notice my account has a bit more money in it than it should so I check my account and notice the lady paid too much - I sent her a Whatsapp asking her for a banking details so I can refund her - nope, she was not interested in giving me her banking details, "you were amazing and I will continue to use you going forward and don't worry, I won't make the mistake again but you deserve it - thanks for being honest"

The money is still sitting in my account "just incase" she asks for it back.

Some people have more money than they need.
