Capitec outage hits payments, ATMs, and digital banking channels

I think we're more than ready to become a cashless society.
Some failed update could see you running out of petrol and not being able to fill up, then getting murdered on the roadside. And this dear friends, is called progress.

For WEEKS, I have been querying a bug that logs me out whenever I try to make a payment. Been IGNORED. For WEEKS. Now suddenly it's a huge issue. What's the bet this could have been avoided if Capitec had not ignored my MANY queries???????
I agree wholeheartedly with you. Capitec should have listened to you when you had issues. They should know better. Their system is built solely around your access to the banking facilities. They should have overhauled their whole system when you complained about an issue. Now look at where they are. These buggers just don't listen. If I was in your shoes, I'd rather move to FNB bank. That will show them.

Just did an immediate payment from Capitec to my Standard **** account, cleared immediately

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux,” and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.

Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

It seems all online vendors can't sell prepaid electricity currently, prepaid electricity for a Cape Town address.
I tried 4 different banks and a few online shops like Clicks etc, all give an error when you try checkout.
Down to a few units left and it’s cold :(
