I cant confirm 100%, but because it is a MasterCard, it should work. I used my Standardbank MasterCard debit card and it works 100% with Paypal.

I use my Capitec card for most purchases online, it is accepted anywhere MasterCards are accepted.

I tried it a month back and couldn't get my Capitec card linked.
I eventually used my Virgin credit card.
I tried to add my Capitec now to test, and I could add it.

Just used mine today.
When you checking out, choose to pay in the currency of the seller so that capitec does the conversion. You'll save few more rand that way.

Just activate it for online purchases, they know what that is :)

Ya you don't need to tell them about PayPal. Just ask them to activate it for online purchases. Then register the card with PayPal.

Regular once-off PayPal purchases work fine with Capitec cards. Recurring PayPal payments will be rejected however, which has infuriated me a few times now.

Great! :D

As Bryn mentioned, though, recurring payments don't work on it for some reason, but all once-offs like Steam games etc. do. I tried to get a Racedepartment.com subscription last year, it gave me a Paypal error and I reported it. Paypal was kind enough to call me, get Capitec on the line and at least they could tell me this was the reason.

Yep,works great. Buys stuff all the time with mine and it keeps you from falling into the trap of a credit card :)

Also use my Capitec Savings as a credit card you have to register it with something called CNP I think it means Card Not Present which means online basically.

Capitec & Paypal - Recurring Payments

I'm also very frustrated with this.

Capitec global one can't reserve funds as its not a credit card.

They work for most credit card applications though.

Why would the card need to reserve funds? It just has to run the same payment on a fixed date every month. I've got other subscriptions working fine with my Capitec card - it's just the Paypal subscription service that doesn't work.
