Car lease question (bank finance)

Hope this is right place to post...

Whats the longest period some of u had a car under finance but skipped payments (how many months skipped) due no income , or negotiated with bank?

And what is the max time period u can maby skip before it reprocessed?

Think max it's 3 months once-off upon arrangement (can't remember how long the 'retrenchment cover' you get when signing the finance agreement covers you, might be 6 months).
The bank will grill you with interest and you might have to pay a fee or penalty for the 'luxury' of taking a break.

More bad news is that the bank doesn't allow you build up a buffer of payments (ie. pay for 2 months extra to cover a month or two later) - I tried and got a call the next month reminding me to pay the month's installment.
