noticed something interesting
from my estimate from 2013 the judging panel is different;

all the cars before that were everyday, reasonable cars, that anybody could own quite easily;
I mean a few bread and butter toyotas , opels, and hyundais, and a polo or 2

from 2013 onward, its only flagship cars that if you have a private island in the caymans you can afford;
(Porsche cayman cheapest one is starting at R1,8 million)
definitely see a pattern here;

next car to win COTY, Nissan GTR or laferrari, or S class benz

The Elantra was a great car, the tied BMW/Polo winner did not make sense. I'd say the last undisputed result is the 2010 Golf TSI.

Cheapest Cayman is closer to 700/800k, but I get your point.
I still maintain the Boxster and Cayman were reasonable choices.
More interesting for me is: no Merc since the 80s.

Nope, will be a Porsche again :p

They might not do it because of the slack they've been taking over it. But I can almost put money on it being Porsche again.
