That's kinda the problem.
After 72 months of paying 5k/pm, you don't even have a car to trade in , as you have to sell it to cover the balloon.

what about leasing, isnt that the same exact thing?
can even get a Nicer car like a BMW and Mercedes on one of those, and probably (IMO) the best way to drive around in a very expensive car.

I mean a BMW or Mercedes out of Motorplan are practically worthless, especially newer ones,

so while they ARE on motorplan, drive the F*** out of them, pay monthly, for anything that breaks. and when the Motorplan finishes, hand it back to the Dealership,
where you pick up another one, and drive the F*** out of that one too.

the ones out of Motorplan, while still okay, depreciate a lot faster than something like a Toyota Corolla or a Mainstream car.
so they are worthless, and why they are super cheap compared to an equivalent mainstream car.

if I were to spend 5K on a car, id spend it on one of these, especially if I do the insane mileage justifying a comfortable car for long journeys.

Not always.. but its about doing the calculations and understanding the risk really.

I personally would never touch a vehicle finance deal that had any sort of balloon attached to it, but for many people it makes sense and it suits the way they view a vehicle in their lives.

and it cost a bomb to fix, things such as
air suspension? crazy expensive,
Vanos issues, crazy expensive,
value seats? expensive.
timing chain guides, expensive
off road systems? like a LR might have, when it breaks, its expensive.

so you buy those toys when its under Motorplan, it breaks, somebody else foots the bill.
when its expired, you can pick up one for Mahala practically.

No I don't, its quite new actually.

And ALL cars that are "special editions" depreciate like stones after they're out of warranty/service plan/maintenance plan usually. Some not as much as others.
And no it doesn't cost any more or less than other new vehicles to fix these days really.

I was scared of Balloon payment, but the only way I could get a car was with a balloon payment on my first new car. As I could not get finance on 60k for a second hand one LOL.

So I bought the Honda Brio in 2014, I then sold it to Mazda in 2017 and they basically paid it off for me.

So I could buy a Mazda again with a balloon and not have previous debt.

I got lucky last year with the Interest rate being much lower, I was able to refinance my car without the balloon and pay a lot less and the car will now actually belong to me.

My honest opinion for someone that is buying a cheaper car that fits there current budget the balloon can work in your favor. Hopefully in 4 Years your finances have increased and you can settle it without paying the balloon when getting a new car.

Actually no, they generally aren't made in the same factory from the same materials etc.... and all dealerships charge a stupid markup on parts, not just BMW...

And no, the BMW's oil filter is not always in a retarded location that you have to dismantle half the car to get out (different cars have it in different locations, some are retarded and some aren't)... I'm looking at the F30 and the oil filter is right at the top of the motor, all you need to do is open the bonnet to get to it.

So as always, get your head out of your very narrow minded little ass and maybe do even the most cursory checks to see that the crap you are spewing isn't making you look like an idiot.
