Hey all, me again for advice. We have a very very big problem in our shop with card purchases going through the client's bank account twice. Then after 48 hours, it automatically reverse, and the customer gets his money back.
Here is a response we got from sureswipe, which is our biggest service provider atm:
This is the response they got from bankserve, and that the problem is even higher up than specific banks.
We get this double transactions at least once a week, and every client thinks it is us being crooks, and going off on how can we do this and we must see to it that they gets their money back. But the thing is, we can not do anything. The transactions goes through to us only once, it is at the banks where the problem is. And we can't give customers money back, because 90% wont pay us back when they gets their money.
What are your seeing on this, maybe someone here knows someone who knows someone who we can contact regarding this.
Any help we will appreciate it so much.

We are working with banks to limit the amount of duplicate transactions and have raised this with the Payments Association of South Africa, as a growing concern. Please be aware that this is not exclusive through SureSwipe machines, however we are trying to be proactive in communicating to clients. In recent months duplicate processing has risen across the industry and FNB communicated as such to clients at the end of July. "FNBWe are aware that some of your transactions, from some of ABSA Merchants might be duplicated. Please be patient as the reversals are in progress."
