The government was warned about the July 2021 riots months in advance. They didn’t listen. Daily Maverick spoke to several sources with ties to the State Security Agency, Police Crime Intelligence, the military and the Hawks. All spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of their positions. They predict a terrifying scenario: a repeat insurrection, likely driven by the pro-Zuma RET faction and marked by guerilla-style sabotage. The aim: to keep Jacob Zuma — and his allies implicated in the State Capture inquiry — out of jail.

This is not the message the state and some other experts are putting out there. Besides, it has already been determined that racism was THE main cause. Just ask the SAHRC.

RET, ANC, same thing.

Should they let him go and not bother with anyone else planning attacks and planting of explosives while they're at it?
Yes. We need someone to stir some schit in this country. Real schit.

Yeah I saw that.. the SANDF are ready to do fsckall in my opinion. We should have a standing sizeable deployment in Durban/KZN that is ready to go at the drop of a hat with clearly defined orders... but we definitely don't.

Paper tiger anyway, they probably have enough ammunition to last them a 5 minute gun fight at best.

At least they managed to rather focus on and lock up the real danger: nutjob Harry Knoesen with his 3 hunting rifles and five 9mmm rounds.
Ja, its one half wit less for us to worry about....now what about the rest of the halfwits running the country...

One thing you can guarantee in Africa and is that other than stealing what are they good at implementing . This sounds like way too complicated plan for the so called faction to implement. They will be loosing focus somewhere and mess up their own plans .

Nice red herring...but no.

They should lock up ALL insurrectionists and terrorists...not just specific ones.

Fu#?en KZN again.

That province is cursed!
Hold KZN hostage= Hold SA Hostage.

Durban port - biggest in SA
Richard's Bay Port- Largest Coal Terminal in SA.
N3 - Main arterial Road to Southern Africa.

I'm of the opinion that last year July was a dry run. To see who reacts and how they reacted.

Hanlon's razor should first be ruled out before making any other assumptions...

Ah, but you see Harry was a potential thread to goverment/ANC, that's why he got caught.

If the July Rioteer cabal had any ambition to also take over government, it would have been stopped before it could begin, or quelled using force etc.
