We have zero chance against against NZ, AUS, & some EU teams.

We are playing typical HM bluebull rugby.
Keep running into the oppositions pack.
Don't use your back line.
Kick your possession away.

It was a fecking dismal perfomans by the boks.
You sir shall eat your words

Golden Lions captain Warren Whiteley has been called up to the Springbok squad as a replacement for the injured Willem Alberts.

Well deserved, imo.
Agreed.

I'm a huge Warren fan but I believe he will only make up numbers as Warren is an intelligent player, not a crash-in-the-oppo HM player.

Still can't believe they called him up. Warren will not game time.

No it is not. His abilities are worth more in the national side than some local team who's name I struggle to remember right now...

/thinks hard...

Oh, the Lions - right there in the quoted post
Now if thete was ever an oxymoron. His abilities does not conform to the current Bok play.

I am neither an ox nor a moron. Take it back!

HM chucks anything into the side, so why not him too? Maybe he will surprise is if he gets game time.

Untill HM is gone it will stay.....:D

He does. As Naas would say..."Let me tell you, they don't have a game plan".

Hehehe. Funny that Naas always refer to "them" when something goes wrong and "us" when it goes well :D

You can't really use your backline to full effect in those conditions. Even Aus and NZ were reduced to kick chase in their game. Doing flashy stuff is asking for trouble.

I'll agree that the weather stuffed up NZ and Oz. It wasn't as bad as at Loftus but I still do think that the Ozzies were hitting the breakdown with venom and that made the difference.

I did lol at Barrett being sent off - I think he has made my list of douches that play rugby (and he's ugly).

For me the player of that game was the Ozzie centre. Big bugger - can't remember his name.

I do think that we have a brains shortage in the second row. De Jager and Botha had to share the brain cell. At least Etzebeth has his own. And we have a problem at centre.

And fullback - when he's hot he's hot. But when not---oh, dear.

Juan Smith back in the Bok team today.

Yay!

I know some people think he is too old. But he has been playing the best rugby of his life for Toulon recently and that man just gives that little bit more than 100% when he puts on the green and gold.

He is also perfectly suited for Heyneke's crash boom bang game plan. And I know for sure that no player will get past his defence.

Packing our team with more over-the-hills ...... depriving our gifted youngsters a chance to settle in a team before a World Cup is just bullshyte. All we hear is talk of how this dude and that dude did so well overseas and then they come back and play average as you like. I'm very anti this trend.

Untested has-been?

That is of course if you ignore his 69 tests in which he arguably played a man of the match performance most of the times.

To me he is an inspiration. After heaps of surgery and almost giving up he has made a remarkable comeback.

Few weeks back I was at the Players Fund dinner. We had Bakkies at our table and he said that Juan is definitely the toughest and hardest working player he has ever played with and against.

Anyway. Can't wait to see Etzebeth and Lood start a long and successful partnership.
