If rape has nothing to do with sex, then why do rapists primarily target younger people, who are much more sexually attractive than older people? This is simple evolutionary biology at play. Men are attracted to younger woman because younger woman are more fertile.

I approve. Especially for clear cut cases where it isn't just he said she said or it was semi consentsual but not that great for the woman.

Like with the death penalty, you have to place a lot of faith in the justice system. Who determines whether it is clear cut or not? A prosecutor that can deliberately withholds evidence?

In the wars of Africa it is certainly used as a weapon rather to satisfy some depraved sexual need. You see how some of the rape victims are not only raped but also horribly mutilated. Locally I'm not sure - there was that case in Rustenberg where the lesbian couple were raped on instruction by the guy who forced them to sign over a plot of theirs. In testimony, the guy who turned state witness said one of the rapists had said he was raping the one woman because he'd always lusted after her. I suppose we don't have enough evidence to make a determination either way but it looks like it is partly power and part lust.

This is not aimed at stopping ALL rape. That's ridiculous. This will just stop most of it. It will definitely stop most serial rapist.
