I’ve got 3 furballs, and my kids have been quite negligent this winter and the coats are now matted.

can some recommend a high quality clipper to do some trimming. Tried my Phillips trimmer but it’s not working too well.

I’ve started splitting the mat by hand , but need the get some pieces trimmed off.

TIA

I can’t recommend a clipper but I can recommend a cut.

There are vets and other places which specialises in cleaning up or grooming cats, and those who know what they are doing will sedate the cat.

Just to quote our local Pet Savers,

Does Pet Savers groom cats?

We groom cats on a very regular basis but only on a specific appointment as all cats are required to be sedated by the veterinarian. We have found over time that it is extremely stressful for cats to be groomed while awake as very few are used to the sounds of a working parlour as well as the danger of being cut while the grooming takes place.
The veterinarian will evaluate the cat and sedate it and monitor during sedation and on completion reverse the sedation drugs to ensure the cat is awake as soon as possible.(Veterinary fees are charged for this sedation). Please note that your cat may be disorientated for a period after waking up and we recommend that the cat is kept indoors for 24 hours.

I have a cat which currently needs to be cleaned up, looks like a gremlin and I don't know what has happened...

Goeie donder,

I wouldn't be surprised that some people who engage in said 'how to train my cat to be a dragon' activities are PETA activists.

Thanks guys.

@abzo - my next cat, i'll name him Toothless and style him that way

The mat is not bad enough for a groomer to fix.

I spent 2 hour today sorting out the 2 Ragdolls, since their fur is much more silky compared to the Siberian.
