Why evil people ? The shareholders are free to elect where they want their companies to be based... As much as the Catalans are allowed to be independent...
Of course. And the Catalans are free to remember the names and associations of those who chose to basically sabotage their efforts for self-determination. These shareholders better hope their economic warfare stays on paper.

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Catalonia's capital Barcelona on Sunday to express their opposition to any declaration of independence from Spain
vs the hundreds of thousands to millions that are in favour? :D
These anti-independence folk seem like very nice people, just look at their friendly wave ...

Ah, financial warfare. Shots fired. Who are the owners of these companies?
Catalonians should remember who these evil people are and what they did.
Only the start. Watch the EU also exclude Catalonia. They'll be completely isolated. This is expected so hopefully they planned for it.

These companies are global companies and their major market is definitely not provincial.

They move only to operate in a safe and steady legal environment, which is what every responsible director would do.

Cool, another example of how globalist companies really don't give a damn about people.. only the bottom line.
A PR disaster for them, let's see how they handle it.

PR disaster ? You didn’t even know about them as 99% of the people do and the rest of Spain is happy about them leaving Barcelona.

Will people stop taking the N1 and N14 ? I strongly doubt so...

I’d love to see your reaction if let’s say Western Cape or Gauteng did the same thing and voted to be separate through a rigged and illegal vote.

Awkward given how regressives are always playing the "empowering neo nazis'" card to smear and undermine their opponents.

Luckily you are not their PR manager. Globalist companies screwing the small guy for a few bucks... That stereotype just won't go away.

Awkward for these far right nut jobs suddenly think they suddenly accepted by the mainstream.

Globalist companies, sounds like a term Brezhnev would use.

As I said, 99% of the people don’t care.

Did you stop buying petrol at Total ? They have done a bit worse than changing their headquarter.

Not the same thing really, Catalans are distinct ethnic group from Castilians (Spanish) and whatever "rigging" was done by the Spanish Government in their stealing of ballot boxes.

99% of people don't care? I know people are generally sheep, but the referendum they just had shows you are throwing stats around a bit to loosely.

Such as 200 municipalities not organizing votes, or people voting 2 times up to 4 times.

This must be the Spanish government...

Or funny one, in the first results (from the Generalitat) the total of voters was above 100%.

Yes 99% of people outside of Spain don’t care.

Where are the support protests ? Where is the boycott ?

The Catalan Supreme Court removes its protection from the Mossos (Catalan police) to the National Police.

SegurCaixa and MGS (both insurance) moves their headquarters out of Barcelona.

The investment fund GVC moves to Madrid.

And Grifols (pharma and chemicals) who is the last listed company remaining in Barcelona announced that they will leave should unilateral independence be declared.

An advisor to Puigdemont admitted that the moves were a disaster for Catalunya.

France announced that the independence will not be recognized.

Interesting opinion piece from a Catalan journalist detailing Puigdemont’s strategy of mutual destruction and refusal to discuss or negotiate.

He basically lets the situation rot, almost forces Catalunya to collapse economically, continues with the DUI to force the intervention of Spain, eventually goes to jail.

All of it to then appear as a martyr and a hero of the Catalan cause.

Idilia (foods), MRW (courier), San Miguel (brewer), Torraspapel (paper), Pesa (construction), Colonial (real estate), Trea Asset Management, Pronovias (wedding dresses), Ballenoil (petrol stations), DVD Dental are moving too.

Lidl will transfer its Spanish headquarter should the legal framework change.

In other news, the Mossos (Catalan police whose head is prosecuted for sedition) are under a new investigation for defeating the end of justice by preventing the national police from investigating the Catalan politicians.

The Mayor of Barcelona (who is pro independence) says that the referendum is not an authorization to be independent and that it should only open a dialogue which would result in negotiations instead of leading to a clash. She begs Puigdemont to no declare a DUI and Rajoy to not launch Article 155 (dissolution of the Catalan local government).

The EU moving closer and closer to collapse, Greece, refugee crisis, Brexit, now this. Once this matter is resolved another issue is going to pop up.
