Need to choose between these two inverters - similar price. Anyone with first hand experience with either of them?

No, the name of the inverter. Can't find much on internet on either of these two units.

Any reason why you have to choose strictly between the two?

I only clicked on this because I read Pure Sin inverter and was interested, it's not as exciting as it sounded

SIK Liquidation Centre in Goodwood Cape Town is selling these ECCO Inverters - saw it on their Facebook page/website and phoned to enquire the brand and if pure sine wave.

What caught my is a pure sine wave ECCO inverter Ups ( probably have solar connection as well )and according to the sticker and sales person it is 500W 12V for R1500.

@Lupus said the fan is quite intelligent and not active the whole time?

Comparing this ECCO inverter to the Synapse 600W pure sine wave at the moment which has a very loud fan apparently.

How are these ECCO inverters, cheaper quality than a Synapse?

I've got the 1500w and the 2000w so I can't comment on the 500w one. But the 1500w is intelligent and only runs the fans when charging, but it's also not full time. The 2000w runs the fan every hour for about ten minutes and while charging it runs them all the time and it can get quite loud when charging for the first hour, where it then goes down.

I ran two Ecco inverters from SIK for around two years. Gave them both away when I did the solar install.
Had the NS 1500 and NS 2500. Both are still going strong and have been plugged in permanently for +- 3 Years.

I would buy them again if needed.
