I can get behind switching from cigarettes to vape, but all the younger people joining my company (think early 20s) are now vaping even though they have never smoked. That's just as stupid as smoking in my books.

It's easy to distinguish between the dunhills or camels to the blokes making some vape juice in a small lab.

Yeah it's not the smartest but then people have done and will do exactly the same thing with normal cigarettes which are far worse for you. So it's not just as stupid.

I suggest going to look it up, there are very few chemicals in there when buying from a trusted source.

No one has all the answers yet as it's all fairly recent news at the moment - but several deaths have already been attributed to vaping, and at least one of those people was quite young.

Most smoking deaths can take quite a few years to occur. If true, and these deaths are indeed due to vaping then it seems that vaping can take very little time to kill. And if people think that there is nothing harmful about vaping they will likely do it more frequently, which would cause even more harm.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has warned against the dangers of vaping as the number of people afflicted by a mysterious "vape lung" condition continues to increase.

It has been reported that around 450 people are thought to be affected by this condition, with as many as five dying from it.

Nearly all the deaths and lung illnesses reportedly ‘linked to vaping’ involved people vaping contaminated black-market cannabis (THC) oil purchased from street vendors. No cases have been linked to nicotine vaping.

In the US, some illicit manufacturers of cannabis liquid have recently been using Vitamin E acetate in the production process. This oil causes severe inflammation in the lungs when inhaled. Sufferers experience shortness of breath, cough, chest pain and damaged lung tissue which can be fatal.

Testing of most of the cannabis liquid samples by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has confirmed the presence of this toxic chemical. Legal cannabis liquid purchased from licensed shops is routinely tested and has not been affected. Some users were also vaping nicotine, but no samples of nicotine e-liquid have tested positive.

It's not just the tar and other substance in cigarettes that cause cancer but also the nicotine. The only thing that's probably healthy to smoke is distilled water.

CDC has already come out and said these recent deaths are due to dodgy black market thc capsules. Many health organisations including the NHI all conclude that vaping is at least 90% less harmful than cigarettes.
