Hi Cell C

Please check your PM when you have a chance mate - the 2 sim cards I purchased from you in December I couldn't RICA them cos they have been discarded - I have even asked the Rep on social media to assist - Please get back to me ASAP AM - I pm the wrong freaking account CELLC instead of CELL_C

A colleague of mine bought a 60GB package at the old price from Matrix Warehouse at the end of Jan, but could not RICA the sim card on 1 Feb. Turns out the card has been cancelled by the network. The only option was a refund.

I had problem to RICA the sim cards I purchased from CELL C - yesterday to my discovery the sim cards were "Discarded" when they were doing stock taken - I purchased the sim cards directly from Parktown - so hopefully the Rep can - re-stock, re-sale the sim cards and with regards to Matrix Warehouse - it's a lie had an old sim I managed to rica successfully yesterday 1 of them cos the proper paperwork was done. Meaning the stock was recorded as sold and not still kept in the inventory and not found. That card I bought last year January 2011 amazing it still worked as the sim cards have no EXPIRY date - and the REP would help you I am sure to re-enable it to work properly.

Hi Armando aka Cell_C

Thank you for sorting them out - I heard your colleague took over 3hours to sort them. P.S - She won't ever forget the last 3 digits of the card - it gave her nightmares but all sorted and RICA at the branch where you work :)

When talking about Game, there is another special:

Reduced price for All_In_One Cell voucher:
R49 buy R150 voucher = 3x100 (on-net minutes/SMS/data)
R89 buy R300 voucher = 3x200
R199 buy R650 voucher = 3x500

Stupid! I was completely blown by this Game advert. It suggests that normal price is slashed.

I was fooled, as I wasn't going to buy it anyway... :-(

Cell C R1500 for 2gb/month available from Game and Dion Wired

I recently purchased my 24gb (2gb/m) from Game for R1499.00 but note that Dion wired have the same offer. It is still the best deal on the market for the most consistent high speed available and I've tried them all.

Good day All

I still have a few bundle lets 2GB and 5GB (bundled with modem)
Can't sell sim card secretly.
2GB = R1499
5Gb = R2999

As well as some sims that will work on the iPhone 4s, for the data promo.

My 60GB 12 month prepaid thing is also about to expire. What's the next step? Cell C reckon R499 for 3GB but that's a bit steep, in my opinion. Armando, how can I get 60GB for the next 12 months again without needing a new SIM card or buying a new Cell C modem?

My packages are nearing the end, so I'd also like to know.

8ta looks like the logical option at the moment with the current CellC pricing, but I'd prefer to stay with CellC if possible.

What's the price for the 5 GB? I'll take one if it's not too expensive. And I'll take a 2GB if you have please.

You all probably already know this, but what about the Vodacom Mofaya Specials that is on at the moment?

1 + 1GB for R 99
2 + 2GB for R 149
3 + 3GB for R 199

Just to clarify, you get 1, 2 or 3GB (depending on which one you take) per
month and the same amount of GB to be used between 12 - 5AM.
This they call the nightowl promotion.

The only drawback with this is you have to sign a contract. And it is for 24 months.
But if you are like me and use all the data, then this is a better deal than the one from Cell C.

I can hear you all typing on your keyboards that oh no you won't be able to use the night owl promotion because you need your sleep. What I do is set all my software updates to take place between 12 and 5. Then I also have a few programs i've tried and
what they do is shutdown my pc at 4:58 so that it doesn't use my regular data.

If you use the night owl data then this works out more cheaper than the Cell C ones.

For example:

Cell C - 2GB
Price: R 1 499
Data: 24GB
R 62.46 per GB

Vodacom - 2GB+2GB
Price: R 1 788
Data: 48GB
R 37.25 per GB

Cell C - 5GB
Price: R 2 999
Data: 60GB
R 49.93 per GB

Vodacom - 3GB+3GB
Price: R 2 388
Data: 72GB
R 33.17 per GB

Vodacom - 1GB+1GB
Price: R 1 188
Data: 24GB
R 49.50 per GB

Of course this only works if you use the night owl data.
Mine is usually finished within the first week of the month.

Hope this helped.

A lot of data is used in updating antiviruses, games, windows etc.
Last month i've used more than 1GB just on two game updates. THANK YOU STEAM

Another thing, Cell C's prices are not too bad, but because I had a bit of a fight with them two years back, i'll never use any of their products ever again. Although the problem was resolved to my satisfaction, it took two months and a couple calls to the Cell C Regional Director before the matter was handled properly.

MTN and Cell C - get your customer call centre sorted out. I might as well have phoned a norwegian dry cleaner.

Cell C has only one special running: R399 3GB SmartData valid for one year.
Be careful with Vodacom. There are four issues:
- 24 month contract
- hidden/obfuscated rollover policy
- OOB shark bite on contract, also affecting airtime on Topup
- no Night OWL on Topup
