Cell-C 3G (2GB) special for R1499 is over - what next?

I hate contracts for data. Not one ISP in SA is reliable enough and offers good enough support for me to commit to them for longer than a month. Until one of them deserves my money on a regular basis, I'm staying prepaid.

Hmmmmm, with a 12month pre-paid you are also at risk if the service declines, only difference is, your money is gone upfront

Cell C has only one special running: R399 3GB SmartData valid for one year.
Be careful with Vodacom. There are four issues:
- 24 month contract
- hidden/obfuscated rollover policy
- OOB shark bite on contract, also affecting airtime on Topup
- no Night OWL on Topup

The mofaya specials I mentioned are not topup, so you do get the night owl.
I've yet to encounter any hidden / obfuscated rollover policies.
I'm not sure what you mean with "out of box shark bite on contract"

But the only problem I have with it is the 24month contract.
And that is only a very small problem for me, mainly because I have no other options.

MTN, 8ta and Cell C do not have 3G in my area, just vodacom.

Now compare the 5Mbps of Vodacom to the 0.1Mbps of any of the other and the 24month contract does not seem so bad.
