Cell C '4Gs' in Johannesburg by 17 November

I've noticed they've switched off the EDGE base station closest to me (Honeydew Ridge) about an hour ago.
I hope it's because they are going switch on the HSPA+. I would have GREAT signal then.

Dear CELL C, would you be so kind to put the coverage on the website for Johannesburg/Gauteng pls and indicate a launch date as well please...

So we know to queue up a day before - I also would of been nice if mybroadband forum members had the opportunity to trial it first hand before the public


Also noticed they switched off the South of Johnnesburg - Someone opened up their mouth and quickly they swithced it off or they wanted to see how much traffic they generate just of hand sets

A lot of people have been using it for at least a month in Gauteng, and have been posting their results - just look !

They got their SIM cards / modems either from other areas, or (for the last week) from Dion Wired stores in Gauteng.

Dion Wired seem to be all sold out at the moment.

Yesterday my GF recieved a call from a Cell C consultant and asked her if she wanted to take out a Data contract .It was for the new " 4G" internet service .

I've just received an e-mail from Cell C (Time 10:19) asking me to come and collect my Speed Stick from Cell C Jhb North.

But I got one from Hyde Park Dion Wired last week.
