Cell C Accounts Department a living nightmare to work with

I initially took out a contract with Cell C for the 2GB Data Package at R149 pm 6 months later I found out that Cell C has started my contract on the 5GB package for R299 per month. Went to the branch where I took out the contract and they told me the person was fired and confirmed that I was suppose to be on the 2GB package seeing that I even have the White 3G stick issued with the 2G package.

Week went by and they never fixed the problem I stopped payment seeing that I have already paid up the 2GB package and they cut my service. Phoning Cell C explaining to them there mistake not mine an investigation was launched which was suppose to take 48 hours working hours it's now 16 days later since the call, and over a month since I informed them of there mistake and my contract is still suspended and zero response from Cell C regarding the mistake they made and I have to pay for.

When you call them explain to them in just about the best way you could possible do they just tell you sorry you will have to wait so 12 month contract ends up being the worse mistake of my life and all of this could have been corrected if someone just took the liberty to check the Data use, which will show nothing is used more than 2GB since I never even knew I had 5GB, secondly 1 phone call to the branch I took out my contract will confirm that the branch has slipped up badly with the contract by employing un-experience workers and lastly 1 phone call to the client by whomever is doing this apparent investigation could also solved the problem.

Instead they decided to waste 16 days and didn't even bother to call the client and when we phoned them they just informed us that it has been send to another investigator to be investigated and they have no idea how long this will take because they are busy and that was there exact response when I called them today.

So top marks for Cell C for getting Data Bundles cheaper to public and zero marks for customer support when needed you are just another number when dealing with Cell C and they have no idea how to deal with accounts being wrongfully billed.

That's why I only use prepaid data.

Oh, and VC and MTN are even worse !

Historically Cell C's accounts department has always been their Achilles' heel. Which is why it's great they have such good value offers for prepaid, the only way to go.
