Mbongeni has processed the refund for the incorrect package activation for ease of reference regarding this matter.

Funds will reflect by next week Monday.

CEll C are LIARS; NONE OF THIS HAS HAPPENED...Setfree, who was supposed to call me, did not...Cell C are disgusting, despicable

This was supposed to have been done by Monday; today is Thursday; still nothing, still no call from Setfree [does this person even exist)...Cell C; pathetic and useless...

I then wanted to know how my billing would be adjusted and was informed, via e-mail and the Blue Route store, by Thato Molopyane, that, and I quote "A credit to reflect on the customer's account takes 3-7working days, and on this customers account it was approved on the 22/09/2011 and the 3-7working days period comes to an end on the 03/10/2011"; it is now the 12 of October, and still no refund.

CELL C, IT IS NOW THE 20TH OF OCTOBER...My refund is still not being processed, and my current billing problems have still not been attended to. I have no idea how this company manages to stay afloat. They seem to want to upset people, want to make people angry. It's just pathetic. If this is the level of NON SERVICE you get from them, I can understand why people regard them as the "poor, ungrateful, rude cousin" to the other providers.

This is the level of service at which mobile service providers in SA operate. It mainly has to do with the floor-level people they employ - they are incompetent and in general plain stupid. Make no mistake, this might as well have happened at MTN or Vodacom.

On a side note, this might not be the best way to introduce yourself on the forums..

All the networks' billing departments are sucky. But from what I can gather on Hellopeter, there is one who is worse - Autopage.

Pathetic "service" from Cell C

I have 2 Cell C Contracts, one that I use frequently and the other one that I have not use for more than a year because the simcard is faulty ( Simcard registration failed ) number 0842627503. On the 16th December 2011 I did an upgrade at Cell C Potchefstroom on the faulty simcard`s number because I needed a new phone .
When I got my December statement I was shocked to see I have call charges of more than R 500.00 So can someone please explain how is it possible to make calls from a faulty simcard .
For the past year I paid only for the subscription and now all of a sudden just after the phone upgrade I have R 500 of call charges , sound fishy to me !

Please be advised that Sidefree has been in contact with you to advise that the usage that you have been billed for has been validated and confirmation has been sent stipulating that you used your sim card in July 2011.

You are liable for the amounts billed and there is no credit due to you.

Utterly Disgusted: Clearly Sidefree does not understand my complaint . I dont have a query for July , it is for the month of DECEMBER 2011!! Can he or anyone from Cell C tell me or come and show me how to make a call or send a sms from a simcard that says " Sim card registration failed " for the past 6 months !!!!!! Just after doing an Cellphone upgrade suddenly there is call charges on my account . Could Cell C give me the simcard`s serial number that the calls were made from and I will show them its not mine.

So think twice before using Cell C.

Despite their major leaps forward, it seems like billing continues to be Cell C's achilles heel. Like many, I left them with relief years ago for that very reason. Cell C's fine if you go prepaid IMHO.

I have to agree with you. Go prepaid or maybe pay manually? (though doesn't take their billing dept out of the equation). I have to laugh at the name change of Setfree to Sidefree....
I dealt with "Setfree" after escalating a similliar problem. Because I emailed some people directly as well got refunded the following day, only to have the same erroneous deduction the following month. They do have a lot of potential, but need to shake up their billing processes. Will the new ceo do the trick?
