Over three weeks ago I made the fatal mistake of contacting Cell C (via phone) to arrange R50/50sms' monthly bolt on to my existing pre paid Cell C number, I explained to "V" that I did not want a new sim and I had my own cell phone. About a week later I get a call from a Courier wanting to know where he can find me as he has a cell phone and starter pack.....Ggggrrrr!!!..."You can take it back...I don't want it" I say. I then phone "M" at Cell C and again explain what I want, not a problem she says she will send a memo to cancel the R50 which had been connected to the sim in the starter pack and connect it to my existing number...."great" (I think) ....a bit later I get a call from "S" wanting to know about the cell phone, again I explain what I want "Ok" she says....."at last" (I think).
Over three weeks have now passed and I have heard nothing so I phone "W" at Cell C and after answering 400 "security" questions I blow my top and tell him I just want to know what is going on with my order ...."Oh no ...its been cancelled" says he "on 2nd Oct" ....."well I am the client and I did not cancel it" I again explain what has transpired and then tell him I have absolutely no interest in doing business with Cell C and he can now consider the deal formally cancelled ......he apologized for the inconvenience and I explained that this is not inconvenience this is simply incompetence ....and there is a big difference.
Cell C needs to understand that they can offer umpteen specials and promotions but they will continue to lose clients unless they jack up their service by simply taking the time to listen and understand what the client is asking for .....its not rocket science.......and for what its worth I will shortly also be getting rid of my Cell C sim card as I have no intention of supporting a shambles....

Hi

If you're still in need of help,
I suggest calling the same number and ask for a team leader, They normally clued up with everything and sort you out quick.

Sorry to see you go, Cell C is cool.

LOL, don't hold your breath for anything. I've been trying to get a refund for a router since February this year. You go around in circles of incompetent people or people that do not have the authority to give you a refund or even know who to pass it to. I've given up and am trying to take it through some Consumer Protection Act process currently (I'm without router, without refund). Since this I have refused to use Cell C products, even if I don't get the best deal.

Refunding is not their strong point & a timely process, but they want your money NOW.
