Hi bilal786, The old connection manager was the source of some stability issues with certain modems. This was the main reason for returning to the UI used by the manufacturer as these are more stable. *DM*

I also updated my E1752. The new-old connection manager however no longer allows me to select 2G only. As I live in an area with full WCDMA signal but no data connect (six months+) I am stuffed as the modem insists on connecting to 3G. It will also not allow me to roam on Vodacom as long as it detects Cell C carrier.
The chappy at the technical help desk does not suggest that I throw the modem away but cannot suggest anything else other then escalating the problem. He tells me that there is no way of reversing the upgrade.

MDMA???

150KB application, no installation. Just make sure there is no other connection manager loaded in memory. Log your Cell_ID which doesn't give any throughput and bring it to Cell_C attention, they might consider changing tower upgrade priorities.

lol. I remember using that POS. Almost as bad as their signal quality.
