Cell C Connector Update keeps running and eating all the Data

Hey everyone,

I finally got the data to work only when needed - Automatic updates are all deactivated. We have on the odd occasion something running / downloading - Afterwards I picked up that it was the Cell C Connector's Auto update.
With Win 7 it doesn't allow any changes to be made, but it still downloads.
I spoke to Cell C, and because it's a VC sim Card, they don't wanna really help (apart from the generic response ("it's Automatic Updates for Windows, sir")
Is there a way to stop these updates (Our Netlimiter trial has expired)?

Good Day

Maybe try using MDMA.
are you able to send me some info of the updates ?
Could you trace the IP ? as far as im aware it should not be updating on a daily cycle, will let you know when updates are available.
That would be interesting and could help us in sorting this out.

Hey, Thanks for your response (and sorry for the "snotty" post - overall I have found Cell C's service to be one of the best (even prior to Allan Knott-Craig :)
Anyways, the download continued till about 16 MBs again. After that it stopped. Is there a way to track where that data went (or at the very least, which app was using it). It's very odd that it is every week and the same amount (and no app is downloading the data)...
I am very proud, so I too would like to get to the bottom of it (it has to be something)...
