Is there a way to force "WCDMA only" under the Cell C software, instead of "WCDMA preffered" (registry entry may be) or I have to use MDMA for such purpose?

UPDATE
The post below details the "unofficial" fix. Cell C have subsequently released a dashboard which allows you to select "WCDMA only"

Cell C Unofficial Dash Fix - Fixes where there is no option to select "WCDMA Preferred" or "WCDMA Only" from the network type drop-down box

I got sick of it & managed to patch it. If you would like your Network Type box to work follow below:
EDIT: Simpler way of doing it listed at the bottom of the Post,These also have the newer drivers mentioned in Post #8 already included

[-]Download the needed files from here - http://www.mediafire.com/?nj4h9ap32a48a40 [/-]

[-]1) Close Cell C Dash[/-]

[-]2) Copy the "NetSettingPlugin Folder" (NOTE: THE WHOLE FOLDER named NetSettingPlugin ) & paste it into the[/-]

[-]For Win 32bit: C:/Program Files/Cell C/PLUGINS folder......select copy & replace when prompted x 2.[/-]
OR
[-]For Win 64bit: C:/Program Files(x86)/Cell C/PLUGINS folder....select copy & replace when prompted x 2.[/-]

[-]3)Copy the "NetSettingPlugin.dll" File & paste it into:[/-]

[-]For Win 32bit: C:/Program Files/CellC ......select copy & replace when prompted.[/-]
OR
[-]For Win 64bit: C:/Program Files (x86)/CellC ......select copy & replace when prompted[/-].

[-]4) Open Cell C Dash & it should now have the Network Types no longer greyed out & the options to choose from available there.[/-]
.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Simpler options:
1)Installer just for PC:_ Remove stick/Uninstall Cell C/Reboot/run the setup.exe/Plug stick back in.

or

2)Installer to Stick: - Will overwrite the original Dash on the stick & replace it with the modded one.

1)Close Cell C dash but leave modem inserted (its not writing anything to the stick but keeps the drivers loaded)

Note: For Win 64bit OS you need to look in C:program Files (x86) instead of C:program Files

2)Go to C:/Program Files/CellC and rename the "Driver" folder to "DriverOld"

3) Copy & paste the downloaded "Driver" file into C:/Program Files/CellC

3)Open the Driver folder, Right click on "DriverSetup.exe" & select "Run as Administator"

4) Wait until the Dash opens up again & your good to go.

Have run on them for a few days on Win7 64bit & having no issues :)

Cell C would you like to put some up-to-date Win7 Drivers on your site please?;)

I am having trouble installing the driver on Win 7. I followed all the steps. After run as administrator, It takes about 4 min, then a message pops up saying something about the driver not being installed correctly, do I want to install using the recommended settings? I clicked yes, and nothing has happened. Should I restart and try again?

Iv done that now (about 2min ago). Waiting to see what happens...

Ok reading again, maybe I made a mistake. Iv got windows 7 64bit. Should I put the driver folder in C:/Program Files/CellC or the (x86) folder?

Oh, there isn't a cell c folder in C:/Program Files/CellC

I'm also w7 64bit & Cell C installed by default to the C:/Program Files (x86)
You put the "Driver" folder back into the Cell C folder.
Same place where i said to rename the current one "DriverOld"
I would expect the (x86) unless you specified differant when you installed.

Should the dongle be inserted into the usb during this process? Mine isn't
Leave the dongle in before you start - it writes nothing to it.

The DriverSetup.exe is 320Kb
