Cell Chinese?
Cheap supply of Huawei network equipment and Chinese labour for massive network expansion? Could potentially wreck the other guys at some point in price and network quality?

Makes sense - I amost think Paul Hjul mentioned this as one of the ways to revive Cell C.

You should interview him rpm, the guy has a lot of insight.

Cell C's issue has always been the debt. That much debt would be nothing for China Mobile to pay off letting Cell C move forward without that hanging around their neck. Could be a good thing.

Would wipe out their debt in exchange for all cell c clients being recorded.

I hope the government will get exclusive cell c contracts then we will never have any issue tracking down corruption. ;-)

Cell C is desperate - at this point they will take money from anyone in order to stay afloat.

And about the Chinese - they generally don't have to answer to shareholders who are interested in short term profits. Therefore they can play the long game.

If I was Vodacom and MTN I would be watching this very closely...

I’d go as far as to say that this deal is done ✅
China Mobile is the worlds biggest mobile operator in terms of subscribers. Besides doesn’t Vodafone own 65% of Vodacom.
This just needs regulatory approval which would probably get pushed through.

This will make Trump even more angry.
Perhaps Trump/USA can offer Cell-C a few million USD to stay away from China.

I'm in more mood to finance the Uighur camps. Will immediately jump ship.
