Cell C lost over 4.5 million customers in a year — on purpose

Cell C lost over four-an-a-half million customers in a year and three months, according to the struggling mobile network operator's latest financial results.

However, Cell C has stressed it is deliberately focused on shedding low-value customers and retaining its more profitable customer base.

Lol this is a joke company. I mean even if a sim is just used for receiving calls it's not like other networks pay a call termination fee or anything.... How do these people in charge there lie like this?

How do you 'shed' 'low value customers'? Provide such a kak service that they just leave? How do you provide a good service to high value customers so that they'll stay at the same time? This is a joke.

I ported away from Cell C earlier this month. Ironically not because of bad service or high prices or any problems, but due to getting a contract again after about a decade of prepaid. My current phone just wasn't cutting it anymore. Jury's still out on whether it was a good move or not.

Good to know what they really think of their customers. They should mention that in their ads.

My monthly contract was R1300. They have shed me. I guess if this is their benchmark of low value they really aiming for the exclusive market

Pareto principle.

They're going to shed another one in a few weeks, when I move my last family member away from that shyteshow.
