So I have a cell c lte contract and the top ups are ridiculous. When I was with webafrica who were through cell c the top ups were way cheaper. Why is that?

How much is it?

P.S. Why did you sign up for something so expensive? Meaning why didn't you stick with webafrica then?

So cell c is like R300 for 6gb night and 7gb day whereas webafrica was like R50 for 10gb. Webafrica was R550 and cell c was R430 that's why I switched. It's for 100gb data a month

So you save R120pm on your month subscription but lose twice that amount on top-ups. :X3: Should have done your research. Now you have to wait for the contract to end before changing back.

Well you would assume that if the top up with webafrica is a certain amount it should be the same with cell c. How is webafrica topping you up cheaper than cell c but cell c top up is more expensive..Doesn't make sense because webafrica LTE is with cell c?

They (webafrica) buy at wholesale rates (and possibly using a different "back-end" path as well). They are not buying from Cell C at retail rates and re-selling to you. Cell C can be considered the "last-mile" provider.

Like how you can use a Telkom ADSL line but some ISP's are cheaper than Telkom when selling you data.
