I want to test the Cell C connectivity at home without buying a new modem, is it possible to change the APN settings of a Vodacom K3765-Z modem to connect to a Cell C network?

Thanks in advance.

No. You need to download a generic dashboard, like ZTE AIR, and then use that to connect.

Download mdma, it will help to find the best reception. Before running mdma unload vodafone software from memory. Go to options and select:
- do not load at startup
- unload from systray when exit
Now exit dashboard and you are free to use other dashboards. When using mdma rename dialup connection created by Vodafone to "mdma". No changes in settings.

MDMA do not work the best with ZTE modems, but is essencial tool for initial setup and trubleshooting.

The modem should work, with the non-Vodacom dashboard. It does support 900MHz. I agree with WatchMan on ZTE AIR.
