Cell C Speed stick problem - software upgrade

Hi, I am also experiencing problems. Using Windows 7, Cellc speed HUAWEI model E1752. I download the software, run the update and receive "Error code:12, Get device information failed". Called Cell C tech support they suggested I retry and on failure take it to a Cell C store. I called the Cell C store and asked what were they going to do when they receive the same error (as they surely would) and no meaningful reply received. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am experiencing a problem with my Cell C speed stick (HUAWEI model E1752). My laptop runs windows 7. I received an sms, to my speed stick, advising that I need to upgrade software as current version will soon expire. I downloaded the software and ran upgrade, but encountered error "Error code:12, Get device information failed". Called Cell C Tech support. They did not know what error code 12 was and advised that I download again and retry and if it failed again, to take it to a Cell C shop. Failed again and I called the local Cell C shop, explained the situation and asked them what are they going to do when they encounter the same error (as they surely would). Received no meaningful answer, and now I'm stuck. If anyone has any suggestions or a solution, I would really appreciate it.

Or should I move away from Cell C products entirely? I mean, I bought the product, I loaded the software as per instructions, it should work right? - isn't that called service?

yeah I also get that same error on Windows 7 laptop. my Windows xp pc works fine with the new software. don't really have. tome to waste taking the whole thing to the cell c shop cos I know they will not enviable to help

Try MDMA or generic Huawei dashboard. Forget sotware upgrades.
