I’m one of those contracts where I pay R50 a month in which I receive R50 airtime and 25sms’s. For the past 2 months, Cell C has given me R37 airtime and 50 sms’s – they still owe me the R63. I have called them like a dozen times and I keep hearing the same old pathetic story – the matter is still being investigated and will be resolved in the next 24 hours. It’s been 3 weeks now.
Actually, my problem dates back much longer than just the past 2 months. Within the first few months of the contract, overnight, a total of about R17 just went missing from my account. I called and called and the matter, up until today(more than a year later), has still not been resolved. They have still not reimbursed me of any funds. They owe me about R80 and up until now, I haven’t so much as heard a word from them.
There have been numerous times in which I had to call them regarding account issues(airtime and sms related). I am utterly disgusted with this pathetic service. We pay our monthly fee, yet they still don’t hold up their part of the contract. It’s blatant stealing. I’m sure if we missed a payment they would’ve been on our doorsteps already. Their service is insurmountably unprofessional and they are a disgrace. There’s just no common courtesy from their side to at least provide me with updates regarding the “investigation” into the missing airtime.
I get my airtime on a certain day every month. As far as I know, all they need to do is go onto their system and check my account activity for that specific day. I mean how long does it take for them to check the system to see why I didn’t get my airtime? It’s absolutely ridiculous. I have been too nice and too accommodating with these people. It’s by time that somebody did something about their pathetic “service”.
