Cell C will be dead within 6 months: Paul Theron

Should we be surprised if Paul Theron is not the CEO of Vestact Limited in 6 months from now?

Well the announcement about not forcing VC did have a hint of desperation about it.

Did they not receive a huge boost financially recently?

My prediction:D

There will be a new backbone in 6 months that offers 10 times capacity then all the current providers together currently.

I predict that in 6-months time things will be pretty much the same as they are now.

SSDD

it strikes me as a silly prediction. I think CellC is is *** and there sustainability prospects are bad. TM will overtake them as the the TMNO :) (Third Mobile Network Operator) and the future of low priced data rests with the ISPs so CellC simply needs to carve itself a sensible spot in 4th place as an MNO as well as as an ISP and find a few niche spots to fill. I disagree with the premise that there is only room for 3 operators in SA because it fundamentally merges operators and service providers into one mess. There is a lot of room for multiple service providers and there is also room for several interconnected network operators where things get messy is how many large scale brands for communications products there are. Anyway my prediction is that if CellC gets a continuance on asymmetric termination rates in 6 months they will still be about as they currently are and maybe a bit stronger if not 6 months down the line the talk will be of CellC being in trouble but its still a long way to "dead".

I predict tomorrow will be Tuesday, followed by Wednesday.

Realistically don't think Cell C will fail in six months, as mentioned before things will probably be pretty much the same imho.

^ well for one thing there is a better Minister in play

More importantly there is a better Telkom. Now if only we could get Naspers to stop being rhino poo and get some ethics into MTN.

I predict in 6 months we will have another doom prophet saying Cell C will be dead in 6 months. :)

I predict that MyBroadband will have anther silly article tomorrow!

Hmmm. maybe I shouldn't move to Cell C?

Should. Keeping them alive is in our best interests as consumers.
If they do fold, then you get to keep your device and get out of the contract early? Or has there been any similar cases that sets precedent for this kind of situation, anyone know?
