I am now tired of complaining to Cell C Customer Service about the terrible data thruput I am getting at home (Panorama, Western Cape) and yet 3kms away at work it is perfect. It used to be fine but is completely unusable currently. I get full data signal and connect perfectly but data transfer is extremely slow or non existent.

I can post some Speedtest.net results if anyone is interested but I don't want to bore you with 70kbps, 82kbps, 78kbps and "Network communication issues" screenshots

thank you
Kevin

Hi Kevin, We understand your frustration, please PM me your Cell C number and street address. We will get a technician to investigate. *DM*

IIRC he was only over for a tour, my point was more along the lines of jestfully suggesting that CellC has jetisoned the idea of a Customer Experience Officer - and the play on CEO.

I wonder when Afriman is going to appropriate the title CEO and getting into trouble with management ....

I had a similar experience with Cell-C.

I took out a contract and had my Vodacom number ported to Cell-C in January 2013. The signal at Pelindaba is non existing and Cell-C is roaming on Vodacom. I cancelled the contract within ten days. I did send a number of e-mails and requests to the help desk and customer care regarding the poor signal. I received conformation reference numbers but to date no one ever returned any query to follow up. Just promises on promises. In mean time I'm stuck with my number now on pre-paid with Cell-C.

Cell-C now days advertises that they cover more than 95% of South Africa! They are misleading the public and should be brought to book.

Did you manage to get hold of him? Did you sort out the issue?
