Very bad ATM, no 3G/HSPA
Lots of disconnections today, as well as no/slow throughput.

Nokia 6210 Navigator.
There's a nice app for your phone called CellTrack which provides cell ID, signal strength and other information which will help you make a useful post in this thread.
(Scroll down to near the bottom of the page for the S60v3 version)

Two lines above the link where you downloaded the app:
It needs to be signed for your phone. Since March 2008 the Open Signing web site of symbiansigned.com offers online signing.
It's a fairly straightforward process, you fill in your IMEI number and upload the unsigned app, and then a little while later you get an email that a copy of the app signed for your phone is available to download.

I've tried symbiansigned.com, but access denied.

Thx, i'll try again tomorrow.
I've just realized, you'll might be able to tell if your 3G signal is on 900MHz or 2100MHz be checking the last digit of the cell ID using that app. If it's a 1, 2 or 3 it's 900MHz, and if it's a 4, 5 or 6 it's 2100MHz (provided Cell-C use a consistent numbering scheme).

This only applies if you are on 3G/HSPA.

It will read:

if you were on 3G/HSPA, so my guess is you're on EDGE (@ 1800MHz?) and your speeds are quite acceptable.

Now what happened to my 3G/HSPA which disappeared yesterday morning? the following speedtest was my speed since i've started with this cellc promo. It's time to contact Trevor again, cos this pathetic speed i am on right now is unacceptable.

You'll probably get a faster response if you call the technical helpdesk on 084 155 5555 (free from a Cell-C SIM).
They might just be doing maintenance on that tower.

Yes i did contact helpdesk, they told me to check my network operator selection. It was on CellC selection.
Oh well, lucky for me is that i've tested the cellc waters (with only with 1 foot in the water) with only R50 for 500mb a week.

UPDATE:
I took out the cellc sim, slipped in the VC sim from my E220 and did a speedtest which was HSDPA.
Put back the cellc sim in the Nokia, and problem solved speed back to what it was on cellc.
