Cell Info Display

Hi there.

I have an old Nokia with me, I used to quite like the fact that it used to tell me, what cell tower I was connected to.
Only to find, that when I activated Cell Info display, it would show me nothing, and this is with both my MTN, and Vodacom simcards.
Am I doing something wrong, or has this been discontinued?
