Cell Phone Reception/ 3G FRACAS

Am currently with MTN and have had endless reception problems at home in Big Bay - Bloubergstrand - Cape Town.
I approached my services (sic) provider - Altech Autopage middle of August. To date ZIPO has been done.
Contracts are supposedly a simple thing: You pay money for a product or a service.
I pay money for cell phone reception. That I am NOT getting. Sometimes i only get 1 bar reception. Most of the time NO RECEPTION. I called mtn service desk. I was told to wait 12 working days from the middle of October. This will be Tuesday 30/10/2012. To date the silence has been deafening me.
Moral of the story: As a consumer you have jack **** remedy available to fix issues.
Pay your bill. We will not provide a service. icasa does not understand the concept of service. just like mtn and altech autopage.
I will be cancelling this stupid contract end of next year when it is due for an upgrade. Both mtn and altech autopage are the worst companies to make use of. hellopeter.com is lipservice to them.
So many consumers just pay and pay and pay. We have become like sheep. It is sad indeed.

I have stopped my payments on the account and will probably be cut soon. You will get your money when you provide a service altech....

Too bad I’m not that good at hacking and making viruses, if I could I would attack ****en MTN everyday!
I feel your pain, almost everyone I know has been complaining about MTN well except for those who have stupid Blackberry but for other people who have real phones have been complaining that when you go to get your contract at any MTN outlet your phone will work just fine but the minute you set foot outside the store you network speed will drop like a fatboy falling down from a tall building, my friend got an S3 on contract and inside the MTN store when they were showing him some stuff on his phone his speeds were ****en amazing he was getting HSDPA but when he got home he can only get EDGE or GPRS and when I’m calling him there is a lot of distortion in the background something you don’t experience with Vodacom or cell c

MTN is a really ****ed up company and I’m making a plea to any hackers out there to please teach them a lesson
