Cell phone special dialing codes *...#

I just discovered that if you have "own number send" turned off on your phone, i.e. person you call can't recognize your number, you can force your phone to send your own number once off by dialing *31# followed by the number you want to call. Example: *31#0821234567. This does not affect the sending of your own number when you make other calls, i.e. it is simply a once off shortcut to turn own number sending on while dialing this one single number.

Does any one know if such a code exist for blocking your own number from being displayed once off.

Could we also use this thread to post other useful *...# codes.

To answer your question, yes you can block your number by dialling #31# followed by the number that you want to dial - this is a once-off block. This way, you can keep your caller ID on all the time and selectively turned it off by calling numbers this way.

Yeah *31#xxxxxxxxxx or #31#xxxxxxxxxx will hide your number for that select call when calling from a cellphone. You can do the same thing when calling form a landline by dialing *31*xxxxxxxxxx.

If your on Vodacom contract you can ask to have Clir per call accitvated you can then just change the number presentation under settings when ever you want saves having to remember the numbers you want to dial #31# for
