Joburg man describes how his Nokia exploded
A Johannesburg man has described to 702 Eyewitness News how his Nokia cellphone exploded while he was charging it.
Johan Thom claims that after charging his 6680 on Friday he heard a loud bang.
He says he rushed to his phone only to find it had melted. He says he then contacted Vodacom.
Recently the cell phone giant recalled 46 million BL5C batteries worldwide after it found they were at risk of overheating.
Last month a man died in South Korea after his LG phone exploded in his shirt pocket.
