I've just moved into a new development in Green Point, Cape Town and the signal inside the block is terrible. Does anyone have a contact person in Vodacom to assess/install?

They generally don't care unless there are enough people to make it commercially viable or the landlord foots the bill for the tech

You will be offered many answers but the correct procedure to resolving your problem is:
1) Get your property landlord/owner to write a properly constructed motivated letter to Vodacom by email to customercare@vodacom.co.za requesting an signal repeater, making sure he receives an all important Service Reference Number.
2) Follow due process as dictated by Vodacom Customer Care.
This forum does not have an official Vodacom Rep, it used have in the past.
NB: Technically Illegal DOES NOT EXIST.
It is clearly LEGAL or ILLEGAL - Using the Vodacom solution is LEGAL
Disobeying a STOP SIGN is ILLEGAL not TECHNICALY ILLEGAL

The Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English would disagree with you

http://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/technically

tech‧ni‧cally

1 according to the exact details of a rule or law
[sentence adverb]
Technically, the two countries are still at war, as a peace treaty was never signed.

[+ adjective/adverb]
What you have done is technically illegal.

I am a trustee of the body corporate; that should be sufficient?
All our pleasure remembering that the legal option is painless without injury. :)
Others may wish to play with the meaning of words but the legal way is the right thing to do.

I have a Vodafone 3G repeater that I bought, has an antenna you put in an area of higher signal (i.e. outside or whatever) and then about 4m cable to an internal repeater. Repeated area is not large but it does work. I'm with Cell C now as they seem to be the only network with coverage at my house.

If you're interested in buying it off me send me a PM, R1500 and it's yours. Note it's not LTE, just 3G; box, manuals, all that too.
