CellC disconnects in Pta North/Montana/Sinoville

Hi guys

Since this rather sudden and heavy squall that we had a few days back my CellC dongle just refuses to stay connected for anything longer than 10 seconds.

Are any of you guys experiencing this?
Was there a recent update regarding drivers/software that might be causing this?

Have also been experiencing frequent cut-offs for the last few days - Pretoria East. Wonder what gives?

i had a similiar problem here in Bloubergrant....
Their technician came out to my home and tested the signal. Signal strenght is very poor where i live. The dongle gets confused between all the various towers.
Subsequently it disconnects.
If you have the WHITE modem, it is very weak.
Get an aerial - a portable aerial that connects to your laptop directly. Mine worked fine. Bought it Nov 2010. On 24 June 2011 I had a break in and it was stolen. The Data I prepaid I have lost now. I need to fork out R1500 to get a new modem. Thus, July, Aug, Sept, Oct and Nov is all free data for Cell C. And that 5 gig per month.... BUMMER ! epic Fail on my part!
