CellC Floosh instead of Woosh?

Well today I bought the so called Whoosh and only experienced a Floosh ! and that in Hatfield? Service from Makro was great and the sim activation was like immediate, tested the sim in My HTC Desire when I left the store. Working, but alas then the struggles started. Once installe in the USB of a PCI I could initially manually find a 3G signal from everyone and sundry except CellC then when I got a link with CellC it was like the golden years .... of 56K experience with connection via pots on a noisy Telkom line! Eventually when I did find a intermittent connection to do staccato browsing I could at least do some delayed downloads with in-between sleep intervals with some 5-100K file downloads. Speedtest.net? grrrrrm, 0.37 mbps max on average local with 107+ pings. One or twice got above 1.0 mbps for a ping or two.

Luckily I have delayed my purchase to get the CPA on my side and after future testing with a aerial booster or extension and if then it still remains at such low speeds will return it with whoosh speed.

Now @ all the CellC Floosh experienced guys:

-What kind of antenna and connector to boost the ZTE MF668 modem? Did something work for You?
-Anyone know where the CellC tower is in Hatfield?
-Is there any setting I can use to maybe improve the signal or link quality some?
-What additional data counters and signal strength meter software is available if any?
-Is there newer drivers available to improve matters.

Wish me luck, we all need it!

Thanks. How do I set up the MDMA for CellC and the ZTE MF668?

I'm quoting Ginggs:
In order to work around the problem of the E1820 ignoring the AT to command from the 3gpp specification to deactivate all PDP contexts (i.e. disconnect from the internet), MDMA now uses Windows RAS to hang up the connection.

The down side of this is you must have a RAS entry named 'MDMA'. The easiest way to do this is to create a copy of the one created by your other dashboard.
Failure to do this will result in the following error when using the 'Connect' button in MDMA:
Cannot load dialog.
Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection.

Also take a look at post #14 in this thread.
