Cellc has WORST customer service OF THEM ALL

Just a word of caution when dealing with cellc, as I learnt it the hard way and still have a problem that remains un-resolved.

on 21 April 2011 I bought a cell c 2GB per month data sim for R999 only to realise now that I spent R999 on a piece of plastic worth about 99c as once my cellphone number got loaded on it there is no longer any data bundle. Called their call centre, told to go back to store and call from there to have the problem resolved, after waiting on my phone with the store attendant for 35 minutes..... u guessed it, no answer. brilliantly they treated me with on going music that seems to loop (a mere 3 songs I think).

coming back from the holidays and finally having some time to goto cellc, this time its the head office in Sandton, sent off to their offices at sandhurst (cnr rivonis / eton). waited their for 2 hours and 50 minutes (from 1:23 to 4:10) the attendant there was very patient with me as I grew ever impatient, with their internal support centre staff pushing this case around, I got fed up!!!!!!! THAT WAS THAT, I wasn't gonna wait a minute longer.

Do NOT let yourself to EVER EVER EVER !!! require the service of a cellc tech support centre.

IF cell c rep is reading this, you WILL get someone to contact me, you WILL resolve my problem without me having to visit another office in Sandton / midrand (ur tech centre, see i already know that).

unbelievable.

and please join cellcsucks.co.za and their group on facebook. (not my group but found it typing in cellcsuck.co.za into my browser)

You can chill with the attitude. I am sure the Cell_C rep will be happy to help.

Seems lots of people agree with you, that facebook page is thriving. Look man, everyone makes mistakes. If you are or have been in the service business I'm sure you'd understand.

30 Members on a Facebook is hardly thriving.

That said. CellC rep will attempt to help you I'm sure.

Facebook page was probably started by someone from Vodacom or MTN.

Its really difficult to tone down any level of anger after sitting in that office for almost 3 hours, to top if off, when i went to the head office by Sandton Central they sent me there, that building has no clear marking of cellc, I called their contact centre to ask for directions only to be directed to call 146, and the the most unexpected happend, its telkom directory enquiries.

I have been a fan of cellc after my very ugly problem with vodacom at the end of my contract 4 years ago, but this particular problem diffinately overthrows the vodacom one and claimed top spot in my books.

I feel your pain. I've been stuck in a loop with Cell C:

Phone tech support -> "Please visit a shop nearby to test your modem"
Go to said shop -> "We can't determine your problem, please contact tech support"
Phone tech support -> "Have you been to a shop to test it yet?"

etc etc. Hopefully one day I'll get a techie out to my place :l

Hey i know what u talking about Kawak & Scoperzor.
Dont know why it takes a rep from the forum to fix problems.
The customer support / tech need to up there game or at least Lars should invest in some training for them.
If he did, then he wasted his money. Because they obviously didnt learn anything.

Just PM'ed hope to have this resolved asap, one more thing is to please get your call centre in order, I can't understand why they can't just tell me where their joburg show room / customer care centre is when I was just parked outside on the street corner (literally 100 meters away) telling them that I'm at the street corners of Rivonis and Eton, and refering me to Telkom directory services just looks bad for Cellc as a company.

Sorry to say but what CellC is saying is simply not true....................I have now been waiting for about a week and you have not contacted me yet.
So cut the BS and do what you say ! :mad:
