CellC Home Connecta Flexi - Discontinue Higher Packages

CellC has quietly disconnected all the higher-end packages on the prepaid Home Connecta Flexi offering.

Now, they only offer up to 80gb (40+40) for R189 and all the other packages up to 1tb have been discontinued without prior communication.

What happened? Why? How?

Is it temporarily or permanent?

We need more info, please!

I was just surprised that they didn't even notify MyBroadband that they will be changing packages.

You know, we always get these kind of news from MyBB well in advance.

The first mention I can see of the larger bundles going missing is from yesterday. The other posts were primarily about the loss of the 100GB (50GB + 50GB) bundle, which we reported on weeks ago:

Cell C changes Home Connecta Flexi bundles — R89 for 6GB

Cell C has revamped its Home Connecta Flexi prepaid offering and launched several new bundles, including a 6GB + 6GB bundle for R89.

I have cell C coverage but not connects coverage. They run in specific towers?

I retract my statement, but it seems you still might've been unaware of that thread's existence ?

Thank you for reaching out to us.

As part of our on-going efforts to optimise and streamline our Home Connecta Flexi product offering, further changes have been made to the bundle range. Effective 18 March 2022, the 200GB, 400GB, and 1TB Home Connecta Flexi bundles will be retired. These bundles will no longer be available on any of Cell C’s sales channels.

Please provide more info about how this will lead to optimise and streamlining. 18 March you say. It is not available from the 15th. Very untrustworthy.

This is a major negative change.
Any support for a boycott of any Cell C prepaid products and also contract products?
I still have 300 GB available till end of March.
MTN maybe.

Read the piece re Cell C under MyBB news and you call that streamlining.
