Yes you can use the cellc software. Theres a 8ta url you can go to and it will show whats remaining.

Modems sold in South Africa may not be locked so the 8ta sim should work in the modem. It is, however, unlikely that the CellC dashboard will recognise the 8ta sim. If it doesn't then use MDMA which you can get HERE. Alternatively, as you have a HUAWEI modem, you could use the 8ta dashboard which you can get HERE.

Your modem is not one that can have the 8ta dashboard placed in its flash memory so don't delete the CellC dashboard as the modem may simply reinstall the CellC dashboard if it doesn't find it. Just set the Automatic startup off and abandon it.

It is, however, unlikely that the CellC dashboard will recognise the 8ta sim.

Cell C dashboard will recognise foreign SIM. A dashboard bundled with this modem for sure, it is verified.
