The planned protest follows the the release of research by the Link Centre at Wits University, in collaboration with Right2Know, which stated that the “poor” don’t want free airtime – just 1c per minute calls.
:wtf: 1c per minute calls, yeah right plus, in the words of Dire Straits, "Money for nothing and chicks for free".

... guess someone at Right2Know got burnt by MTN which is why they're being singled out :whistling:

1c per minute? I think such people should start their own mobile operators...
I'm not saying we're not being ripped off, but you have to be realistic.

I agree you have to be realistic. 1c per minute is a bit far fetched

Very much sounds personal. I think Vodacom is ripping off people more so why the crosshair on MTN only
