Mid-month data suggests South African motorists may get significant relief at the fuel pumps in April 2025.

According to the Central Energy Fund's (CEF's) latest fuel price outlook for next month, prices for all grades of petrol and diesel could drop.

Oil production under the Biden administration was already at the highest levels its ever been. Also, the US now produces predominantly light crude from fracking which is not suitable for producing fuel. But go ahead and parrot Dear Orange Leader's demented mutterings like a good sycophant.

Oil production under the Biden administration was already at the highest levels its ever been. Also, the US now produces predominantly light crude from fracking which is not suitable for producing fuel. But go ahead and parrot Dear Orange Leader's demented mutterings like a good sycophant.

Oil from shale can be used to make fuel, but isn't easily used in most US refineries. This is why the US (now) exports lots of tight/light/thin oil and imports thick/sour/heavy crude to use in its refineries.

I agree that the current price decline is not due to US oil production. Oil prices are down due to global growth concerns, linked to US tariffs, and OPEC's plan to ramp up supply.
