Glad its not only me that thinks so although I guess I am a bit biased in this case.
It would be interesting to see how much it costs when it arrives here by year end.

probably around the R220k mark, with slightly better standard trim than the golf 6. It'll have to be if they want it to sell based on value, not badge/brand snobbery.

That is not too bad - but I fear it might be higher. Their current trend appears to be slightly higher priced but with a lot more stuff as standard that are optional on VAGs - take for example the Corsa Essentia VS Polo Trendline.
